Awesome!

This is a great app! Before I had doubts if it would actually work bt it works perfecty. You can also make your own videos a wallpaper, use your webcam as a wallpaper, or make your screensaver a wallpaper (like the flurry or yor compter name!) I hope they make more!

Wow factor

I love it … now lets see more wallpapers to make it better.

AMAZING!!!!

This is the best app i ahev ever baought for my mac! But however, it is some trouble when i turn of my computer the picture does not come back on, or at least that happens when i ahev my own videos as wallpaper. Also when i close my computer and open it up again the wallpaper (my own videos) stops and then has to rewind to the point were it should be if it had been playing al the time. Could you make it just continue from were i stopped it insted of starting were it should?? THIS IS WORTH BUYING!!! I love it, even though it has some bugs i belive thay will be fixed! :D Love this app….. buy it and be happy!!!! :P

Crashes some times

If the program is running and I click on system pref the computer locks up. Only when this program is running. Other than that its a kewl program loop videos on your desktop.

Great App, One Suggestion

This is a great app to add some action to your boring desktop, the only gripe i have is it would be nice when using your own videos to have a blending option at the end of the loop. This would make the loop much more fluid and continuous. Otherwise great job!!!

Great backgrounds

Very pleasing background choices. Add more variety through the option to loop your own video. A must-have for customizing a Mac.

Fun and Effective

I definitely love this app. I cant use normal wallpapers anymore haha. But in all seriousness, this really is an impressive application. First off, its one of those applications that you can either make the most of or not at all...its all what you put into it. 2ndly, the controls are very simple and understandable. But here is one thing to realize that I didnt when I first ran it...it functions slightly differently from most apps. When you run the program for the first time, a new icon will be added to the top right (where the volume, wifi gauge, date & time, battery life, etc. is). This icon looks like a piece of film. After the initial run from the dock (as you would safari), all the functions will be controlled by that film icon on the top right. Not only can u use the stock animated wallpapers they offer (and get more from them too), BUT the best part is you can use virtually any video you have (provided it is a quicktime file [aka ".mov") as a background. Also, in addition, if that movie has sound, you can have it play with it or not...theres a volume control for that. My computer runs completely smooth with no lag or decrease in performance. Keep this in mind though, if the video you have has a small screen size, then the wallpaper will look fuzzy cuz it has to make up for lacking pixels (and thats not the applications fault, thats just a general rule of computer pixels)...but if the movie has a good decent screen size, no quality drop whatsoever. There are 3 basic modes: 1. using their stock animated wallpapers (they are pretty cool, but nothing "WOW" except that they move haha) 2. a projection of your itunes album covers and they randomly switchout (its amassed in a huge checkerboard format) 3. and animated wallpaper using your ".mov" video files (.wmv is not supported), and that movie will continue to loop. The only problem to keep aware. A video that is about 5 minutes and 30 seconds long and beyond may have problems looping. Shorter than that and it loops fine. In fact, the movie file im currently running is about 1:30 - 2 minutes long give or take some. EDIT: I have run a 4 minute video just fine (I checked the vidoes I have used). Its at the 5:30 that I had looping problems.

the custom video wall paper is not played after the rebot.

the custom video wall paper is not played after the rebot. please fix~

GREAT!

I got this app because I loved the Dreamscene ability in Windows Vista so I found this app and it is 100 times better! No slow downs or anything. I wish you would add Nature backgrounds tho that would be really nice.

Awesome

love this app

Can

I purchased this App because one I needed something happening on my background because I am alway changing the background. This is the next step in backgrounds. And second because my uncle sad this could not be done. I needed something that was not just a still picture flipping back a forth. I have been looking for this for some time now, 100% great app. Two neg. on this App. Owned it for sometime and no add ons. and second I have two screens iMac 27" with cinema display 27" and you can only have it on one or the other. I do not mirror I need the extra desktop space. I do not need it to be one image across the two, but would be nice to have two different images at the same time.

Love/Hate!

The Loves: The concept and some of its supplied videos work extremely well with my desktop gadgets. Between this appliations videos and their competitor, I like the one shown in this screenshot the best. (It kind of looks like blood plasma! The Hates: This takes up a lot more CPU cycles than does its competitor, in part because you cannot control the speed of the playing video, which do move at a nice clip. When you close the application, it puts an awful, gigantic icon in the center of your screen, which is highly illogical, since you quit the application. Please just go away cleanly. No way to remove it, other that going into System Preferences or rebooting with the preferences set to not run on startup. Ugly! Ugly! Ugly! On Startup, before the application launches, it puts that same ugly icon in the center of your screen. I cannot imagine anyone thinking it is pretty, or better than your selected wallpaper you use when this is not running. To me, it is just a horrible bug. Too many times I have to close this, since it uses so much CPU. I actually purchased the competitors product, but dont like any of the supplied videos more than I like the blood plama video that comes with this one, but you may find them more to your liking. The description says this is the "fist & only". It may have been the first, but it is no longer the only application that puts HD videos on your desktop. The author continues to propagate that "untruth", hoping you dont discover the other. I love them both… I hate them both!

love it!

This software rock! wish i could run it on multiple desktops though.

awesome app

just learning it but wish i can learn how to choose my own movies like they have in the pictures the choices like the cars :/

GREAT APP

really great app definetly worth the buy

Nice

For the price, this is a great app. I visited the website that the included videos are from and thought the other options were a bit pricey. None the less, it is a great app…especially for the price. Someone wrote about the quality on a high res screen like the new macbook pro. I have to say I agree. Im guessing the loops you can buy from the source website could be a better fit, but Im not sure.

Perfect…But...

i love this app, everything from there videos, to using my own, to using my screen savers. the only problem i seem to have on my imac with lion installed is that when i switch between screens by double tapping the mouse and clicking the new screen at the top and then go back to the original screen where the video wall is playing i lose the video and end up with a grey screen and a picture of a computer on it. but just using the mouse and swiping left or right across to the next desktop works perfectly still. so i gave the app 4 of 5 stars. when the devs find and fix the problem i would def rate this app 5 starts. well worth the money

More wallpaper please :D

Great app but can there please be more wallpaper!!!! Thanks

great app

awesome app nothing more to say

Review

Works pretty well. I had the same lock-up as another user but I resolved it with terminal and hte command: pkill Videowall After the first time, it started without the lock-up. My use for this is different than most. I wanted to be able to monitor a webcam. Works well for this, but as noted by other reviews it does use a good amount of CPU. On my Macbook Pro with Retina Display that had 16 gigs RAM and the Fastest Macbook Pro processor, it take 35% of one processor. If it werent constantly consuming that much, it wouldnt be a big deal. It is enough to kick my fan on and I rarely have my fan come on. At least I rarely have it fast enough that I can hear it. Works well for me outside of these two issues.
